The Rio Vista Music Department provides students with an enriching musical experience. Through the leadership of Mr. Doug Williamson and Mrs. Regalado Yepez, the department offers Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Beginning Band, Jazz Band, String Orchestra and Beginning Strings programs to help students develop a level of musical growth that will enhance their quality of life and enable them to become lifelong advocates of music.
Members of the Rio Music Department enjoy involvement in a campus organization that provides immediate identity and purpose. The Music Department groups encourage and promote academic excellence. Music rehearsals and group lessons meet during the school day, and are compatible with the students’ academic responsibilities. Members of the Rio Music Department are involved in concerts, festivals, and honor groups.
